Amidst the breathtaking backdrop of Paris, just ahead of a Spring/Summer 2023 Haute Couture show, we spoke with Elie Saab Jr., CEO of Elie Saab Group, about the brand's evolution and ambitious journey. He began a transformation in 2019, prior to the global devastation caused by Covid-19, that positioned the brand as a sustainable, independent luxury powerhouse.
Despite the ongoing challenges of the market, 2022 proved to be the turnaround year, affirming not only the brand's strategic path, but also demonstrating its resilience and continued strength, as a global luxury powerhouse. As part of this transition, retail optimization of the Elie Saab brand took center stage. By 2022, the brand entered five new markets, bringing the total number of their active locations to ten, with five more planned to open by 2024 across key U.S. and European markets.
The expansion into a luxury lifestyle brand continues under the Elie Saab Maison label, which, even after launching during the pandemic in Milan, enjoyed a steady growth of 35%.
